Joseph Spitzer is currently principal trumpet with the American Festival Band and the Connecticut Symphonic Band. He is as comfortable playing classical literature as he is playing lead trumpet with a dance band. 

Joseph went to the University of Bridgeport School of Music and studied with Ray Crisara and James Burke. 
Recently, Joseph studied with Charles Schlueter. 

When Joseph is not playing with the American Festival band or Connecticut Symphonic Band, you can find him playing for weddings while the bride walks down the aisle, for a church service, or sitting in reading the lead book at an outdoor concert with a big band. 

Joseph plays on custom made Monette trumpets, made for him by the David Monette Corp.
